Social Networking for MLM Lead Generation

Social media marketing should be a priority on your MLM business’s marketing plan.  Using various, well-known social sites you can communicate and recruit people online. This type of marketing helps you to establish rapport online and attract attention you would otherwise have not received offline.  It opens a new door for additional exposure for your network marketing company. It should be included but it should never act as a replacement for offline marketing.

Going about marketing your MLM business the right way or wrong way using social media can make or break the deal. The most important point you need to know is that quality content is king and not just content. If the content is not valuable, you will not have a successful social media marketing endeavor regardless of how good your MLM plan is.

In order to keep the door open to your contacts, you must provide content on a regular basis to keep them interested. Send out information to your contact list to let them know you wish to communicate with them and do not want to use them only to sell something.  You can write articles, send reports you have written or perhaps even offer a free eBook that you have written or found that has distribution rights.  The possibilities are endless. The reason content should be added regularly is to keep the potential clients or leads coming back for more information and increase their interest.

An important point to keep in mind to have MLM leads come to you is to have a good, descriptive profile that states what you do and what your interests are.  The profile not only works for the social sites, it also works for search engines because your profile gets listed in the search engines just like regular web pages. Have as much information as possible like the type of business you are, a little about your management style and skills, the number of people working with you, and what your goals and intentions are.  Include information like the fact you are offering a business opportunity or you simply want to help people. Just like with a regular website, it should have SEO/SEM keywords so that your information can be found using the search feature on social websites that you sign up with.

A MLM business entrepreneur can also submit bookmarks to sites like Digg, StumbleUpon and other famous bookmarking sites.  This also helps to attract more people to your site and social media profile. One major error people make when posting is that the URL is eliminated.  An error like this means that efforts will not pay off.  The idea is to get more click thru traffic for your network marketing business and exposure to your website or social media profile.

Joining MLM groups that are related to the topic is a good idea because some of the work is done for you already.  The people in the group have joined because they are interested in a business opportunity.  You can also get more traffic by starting your own group as well.  People will return to share their thoughts and also recommend resources as well as post their own content.  This will increase the value of your social media efforts for your MLM business.

So remember to make social networking a high priority when marketing your MLM business opportunity.
